Greetings from Croatia to all the new and past visitors of this alluring part of Europe... Make your vacation a beautiful memory to think of when life gives you a ton of headaches to worry about. Take advantage of it and seize the priceless cultural and natural Croatian heritage - discover the endless beauties and classic tales that go with it... Frane (Frah-neh) is my name and I've been a licensed guide for the last 15 years: cooperating with many tour companies, and always open to new challenges. As a history professor in Croatia, my passion is history, and it's significate to the effects of modern life. My tours throughout Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Montenegro are all private with me as a driver/guide with private transportation. A family crossover (up to 4 participants) and if you are a small group, I will arrange sizeable and comfortable transportation with a professional driver. I'll be delighted to be your local connection with the outstanding legacy that Croatia has to offer in this time when tourism has to rise from its own ashes. Let's make a change together.

Croatia

Hi, I'm Anita and I'm a tourist guide in Croatia. I have been working for years as a local tourist guide in Zadar and Sibenik, and as a tourist guide in Europe. Love for my country makes me do this job that I adore, and my happiness and greatest reward is when my guests return to my Croatia again. That means they are happy and feel nice here and that is my most beautiful reward. Certainly some of you have not even heard of Croatia. So I decided to invite you to this pearl of Europe and introduce you to this beautiful little country, but rich in cultural and historical monuments, national parks and nature parks. I am glad to be able to show you my little Paradise on earth. Join me. I'm sure you'll be fascinated by it.

Fun and cheerful personality

Before arriving in Tokyo, Kahoko helped us choose an hotel close to transportation. Kahoko met with us, as scheduled, at our hotel. Map in hand, she explained the train and Subway service. She had purchased ICOCA cards for our travelling on different train options. We reimbursed her the pre-charged cards ans she also showed us how to add more funds to it. She is very friendly and will adjust the schedule to your personal interest. We visited the Tokyo Skytree, Sensoji temple, had a delicious ramen lunch and then, walked through the Imperial gardens, and shopped in Ginza. We will be using her guide skills again tomorrow night as we do a night tour with dinner. Thank you Kahoko, we are forever greatful for your help in visiting Tokyo.

Thank you very much for the kind review! As there was a long way , I mean worries, before we actually met. I felt just relieved. The tour was simply pleasant for me thanks to your cooperation and positive attitude even though it was still a hot day. We walk more than 7k on just after arrival day ! Probably, you are enjoying relaxing right now. I am very much looking forward to seeing you tonight! See you soon!

Wonderful Shopping Day in Tokyo

We met Chiaki in our hotel lobby and reviewed our plans- we had initially booked a tour of the fish market but decided to shop for gifts instead since it was our last day in Japan. Chiaki was kind, flexible and accommodating. She planned the most efficient route given our priorities and we set off- she is very knowledgeable about the entire Tokyo transit system and we wished we had met her earlier in our trip! She suggested extra stops along the way that had authentic items such as paper goods and local foods. She helped us find a specific item and facilitated the tricky process to secure a tax free purchase at a department store. She kept it real by ensuring we were mostly on time and had the opportunity to end our tour in a park to unwind a bit. We highly recommend Chiaki!!

Thank you Jami-san, for your fascinating review! Because I heard from you, now I know you and Anne didn’t lose your way to the hotel, didn’t miss your flight and safely got back home. I’m glad to know that. I can imagine you are very tired and even so, you took time to post such a fantastic comment! Thank you so much. We spent a wonderful time together, finding that we followed the same Nakasendo trail and found beauty in the same little stone statue! Please come back to Tokyo in the chestnut season again to enjoy Japanese sweets. Please say hello to Anne! Thank you again and take care!

Once in a lifetime visit to Toyama Syouryu Orin singing bowl craftsman

From the moment we met Yoji at the train station we knew we were in good hands. He is kind, attentive and patient. He spent time prior to our visit contacting the 4th generation craftsman, Yoshinori san, to plan our tour. We stopped along the way at a sushi “conveyor belt” restaurant, which was quite entertaining! Once we got to the Orin workshop it was clear it was a magical place. Yoshinori san explained how he forms the bowls and “tunes” them to the sound they are meant to have. He provides Orin bowls to many Buddhist temples throughout Japan and beyond. We each got to experience a bowl singing around our head and on our abdomen while lying on our backs. We took all the time we needed to select a bowl to take home. It was a very meaningful experience and we appreciate Yoji’s willingness to do the extra work to make it happen and to be our interpreter with the craftsman.
