I hope you are ready for the best night in Tokyo!!

Taking the tour with Kuni was an incredible experience that allowed us to eat and drink at local restaurants that you wouldn’t be able to find if visiting. We went out with Kuni at the beginning of the trip and he provided us a lot of useful tips that helped make our visit to Japan even better. Kuni was very nice and catered the itinerary to make sure we had the best night. Highly recommend booking!

15,000 steps a day the interesting way

When we booked Akira in Tokyo for two days he made sure we understood that his tours require lots of walking, and he wasn’t lying. However, I don’t think we could have gotten a better experience any other way. Akira shows you the historic sites as well as off the beaten path areas that helps one understand both history and current culture. By the end of the day you look back and realize you’ve trekked through half of Tokyo learning new and interesting things. Only then do you understand why all of a sudden you’re so tired. We had a wonderful time with Akira, he even took great pictures and shared them with us which is a bonus. Strongly recommend!

Very expensive and Disappointed

We met Yuki at our hotel at 9:00. The weather was overcast. Yuki leant us his passes to travel to Kegon waterfall and Lake Chuzen . By the time we arrived it was impossible to see the falls or lake, we returned to Nikko. While a guide cannot determine the weather an experienced guide would have checked ahead, avoided wasting 2 hours on a bus and suggested an alternative itinerary…..that’s what a guide with local knowledge would have done. We suggested a stop at Nikko Botanical Gardens. Yuki had not visited them …surprising again lack of local knowledge. After lunch we toured the various temples and shrines. Yuki did not tell us anything that was not on the notice boards walking ahead with no attempt to add to our knowledge. We finished about4 returning to our hotel where Yuki was helpful ….we wanted to send some luggage ahead and he compiled the necessary forms In summary very expensive…40,000yen to GowithGuide and another 20,000 to Yuki for “travel and accommodation “ a total of 60,000yen Yuki added little to what we could have done by ourselves. Yuki is not a knowledgeable guide for Nikko and should not be marketed as such We look forward to your response.

Very well planned for a short visit

Takako did an excellent job planning a layover tour with little time. She met us at the airport and we all rode the train to the SkyTower and then a train to the oldest temple in Tokyo. The temple area was extremely crowded but, Takako walked us through pointing out interesting shops and food. Takako even researched a gluten free place to eat in the area but, we had to get back to the airport for our next flight. Despite the direct sunlight and crowds, the tour was overall a great way to spend the layover. I would advise bringing more cash than you think…we ended up spending ours on the train rides out to the sites and had to find an atm for the return train.

Takako T.

Hello Shannon B.! Meeting at airport is always so exciting, but I am happy to have met you without trouble It's my pleasure to make an interesting plan for each guest. Sorry for my suggestion of cash. Thank you.I would like to propose much more estimated amount of cash next time. Best wishes Takako
