Hi! I'm Jonathan. Please call me Jon. I'm a visual artist, photographer, and filmmaker. I love to travel and document my travels and I love to meet and converse with people from different countries. I was born in Manila and have lived and worked in Manila for a long time. I'm very familiar with the many sightseeing spots and attractions, thanks to my long-term life experience in this city. Manila is a fascinating and picturesque city that many foreign tourists visit yearly. I have guided quite many foreign tourists as an English-speaking tour guide for the past several years. I wanted to guide tourists simply because I would like to make people happy. Moreover, I am interested in the history of Manila and the Philippines in general, culture, and geography, and I also like intercultural exchanges! I can show you around not only popular historical sites and relics but also hidden spots which only locals know. I always enjoy guiding every tourist with my best hospitality. When you have a chance to visit Manila, please contact me anytime and join my tour! I look forward to spending a wonderful time with you. See you soon!

“I focus on bringing my guests to the famous tourist attractions in Manila and nearby provinces. In between these, off-the-beaten-path attractions and secret gems await you. Adventure tourism is also a possibility. I’ve had visitors who already experienced volcanic craters in Central Luzon, walked the rice terraces in Northern Luzon, and other activities unique to the Philippines.”

A Magical 3-Day Japan Tour!

I just completed a 3-day tour of Japan with Leandra and it was an absolute dream! She was awesome, making every moment count in a very tight schedule. From the bustling streets of Tokyo to the tranquil temples of Kyoto and the scenic beauty of Osaka, the itinerary was perfectly planned and executed. Day 1 started in Tokyo, where Leandra skillfully balanced modern landmarks with historical traditional spots all the while providing fascinating insights, snippets of history and intrigue and making the city’s energy and history come alive. You’ll have to ask her to take you to the Ninja bar, had an absolute blast there in the evening. Day 2 we went hiking in the mountains to enjoy relaxing hot springs and stunning views of Mt. Fuji. Our guide’s attention to detail, from smooth transportation to insightful recommendations, plus lots of encouragement to get me moving in the trails made everything seamless. Leandra really shines in the mountains and on trails and if you have the energy you will have an absolute blast in the mountains trekking with her. Day 3 was spent in Kyoto and Osaka, where we explored the magical Shrines, bamboo forest, the Osaka castle and the bustling streets of Osaka. Leandra’s knowledge of the history and cultural significance added really depth to each stop. Overall, Leandras expertise, passion and historical knowledge, not to mention bubbly personality and fun factor really transformed my very quick trip into an unforgettable experience and I will definitely use her again on my next trip here. Leandra was not a guide as such but more like a very good friend showing me the best her country has to offer and she really loves what she does. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Japan in a short, or long time time, especially if you want the hidden gems and back streets away from the tourist traps, with a considerate, flexible and very friendly bubbly guide.

Cozy night out!

Me and my friends greatly enjoyed the evening spent with Mai as she introduced us to Sendai and her favourite places. What to do, where to go, of course which sake to try and little things here and there - I'm very grateful for the time spent together and the additional insights she gave us. It wasn't our first time in Japan, but a first in Tohoku and for that I highly recommend to meet up with Mai if you're looking for good company ️:)

I cannot speak highly enough about Shovkat

Shovkat was polite, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It is not surprising given his history that he has an academic’s knowledge of the sites he will take you to. His English is excellent and he studied for a time in London. His German is better, he told me, and Shovkat also speaks Russian. Go with this guide!
